Astrological Explanation of The Path

Aries starts where Pieces left off. The Yogi is in Deep Samadi (Meditative Absorption), but something powerful (the sound OM) passes through him and calls him away from this meditation and lets him know he will re-manifest into the material world once again for the sake of Dharma (Rightousness). Like a Ram, the soul is eager to charge into the unknown.

Taurus is the stage where the goal or mission of the journey ahead is revealed to the freshly awakened soul. The object of their desire is clear, but no action has been taken yet. Preparations are made for the Journey ahead. The swiftness of the Ram is now transformed into the patience and stamina of a Bull.

In Gemini, Subjectivity and Objectivity become polarized. In other words, this is the dawning of intelligence, which is the interplay of spirit and matter – the dance of dualism. This quicksilver-like intelligence will be necessary to complete the journey ahead, however it more than often leads the over-thinking soul seemingly off course into some intellectual web of illusion (Maya). Like oil and water, fire and ice, the Lovers are ever engaged in debate, unknowing that underlying their duality is unity.

As a result of the interactions of Spirit and Matter in Gemini, the journeying soul becomes frustrated by having to wait for the object of desire. These frustrations give birth to emotions in order to save time over-intellectualizing. This is the dawning of the idea of time and gives the journeying soul a sense of urgency to move on, but it can also cause it to delve deeper into the material comforts. The crab is never seen too far from the great Ocean Mother who it relies on for its every need.

Leo is like the Sun coming out on a cloudy day. The Soul is frustrated and seemingly doomed to repeat the constant emotional cycles like the waxing and waning of the moon. Suddenly the Solar force graces the soul and transforms it from an over-emotional, and reactionary force, to a heroic Lion-Man who knows no fear. The seemingly forgotten journey has been now reminded to the soul, and its time for the Crab to leave the comforts of the ocean and beach-life, and journey onward to the heart of the Jungle of Mystery. The journey is long and hard. Along the way, many obstacles stand in the way, but the Lion quickly pounces and destroys anything that gets in the way of its righteous cause.

On day Mother Earth incarnates as a deer and begs the Lion not to eat her. The Lion is moved by the deer’s beauty and innocence. This sudden, unexpected experience causes swift, but deep changes within the Lion which forever changes him. He discovers his pristine innocence within and desires nothing more, but to rid himself of the “harm” he has committed to others in the past, simply to feed his hunger. At this stage, Virgo, signified by a Virgin maiden holding fire (the secret powers of the universe) and grains (sustenance) in the other, the Law of Karma is imprinted into the very nature of the remorseful soul, forever changing its nature.

This realization causes the journeying soul to abandon its quest for the object of its desire, and instead chooses to perfect itself through service to others. The soul decides to do the opposite of every negative action it has committed in order to purify itself of negative transgressions. There is no room in Virgo for personal pleasure, which may come at a later time, but not until the pure nature has been discovered, and all violent acts against Mother Earth and her inhabitants have been undone.

However, sooner than expected, rewards of both spiritual and material nature arrive to the soul, due to virtuous deeds. The Devil is on one side of the courtroom telling the soul to cash in all its good deeds for personal gain. He offers all that Venus can provide: power, pleasures of the sense, popularity, and a really good position in the world. On the other hand, dressed in all white with a rainbow aura is God himself in whatever form he is imagined. You can say it’s the same soul from the future, who has chosen not to follow the Devil’s path. God is smiling and says, “I can’t promise you its going to be easy or even make sense to you, but I can promise you that I’ll be right there with you the whole time.”

If the soul chose the path of pleasure, offered by the Devil, the rest of the story will be very different. For now, we will follow the story of the soul who chooses the supremacy of spirit over matter and the faith that there is a spiritual hierarchy of enlightened beings guiding the course of the universe and humanity. Following the path of the light or spirit over the shadowy realm of matter, the soul finds itself blinded and no longer able to stay conscious. Something has transformed within itself, but now find itself in a very dark place. The first sense that returns to the soul is that of smell. The smell triggers something unpleasant inside. It’s blood! The soul now tastes blood. Soon it sees blood flowing like rivers. It realizes that it has just been sexually gratified and has eaten its partner. The horror of this realization disgusts the soul. Glancing in a pool of water ahead, the soul who at one point was basking in the greatness of heaven is now seeing its reflection as a demonic looking insect with a tail emerging from its rear that means death to creatures of any size. Guilt, a deep sense of regret, and disgrace are common to those souls brave enough to venture into the unknown depths of Scorpio. No, the soul did not choose the path of the evil. In fact if that path were chosen, it would have no idea of the bloodthirsty, self-gratifying EGO that must be defeated for the soul to return home with all its honor and glory.

While discarding fear, the tormented soul prays from its heart. This prayer is not the same prayer as in Taurus, where the soul prayed for nothing more than to achieve the object of desire from an outside source. The prayer of Sagittarius is the humble divination, where the soul asks for Divine Guidance and Protection from its own inner-demons – to be led to the path of Dharma (Righteousness), harmonize his personal song with the Universal Song, and transform it from the seeking of pleasure of the senses, to the blissful state of collaboration with the Divine Plan. The Scorpion’s tail becomes the strong body of a horse, while the torso, head and arms take the form of an honest looking man.

The enlightened soul, having transmuted his negative qualities into positive, is now completely consumed with finding its way back to its Divine Origin – its quest home has become the object of desire. Now in Capricorn, the mature soul learns to see the Mystical in the mundane and the Mundane in the mystical. The Humble soul, having passed the trials of facing its own lower-self bent only on self-preservation – rapidly aligns itself with the cosmic occult hierarchy. In other words the axiom “As above, so below – but after another manner” is vibrating constantly in the Third Eye of the quietly “listening” wise soul. “I am part of a system, which is part of a bigger system, which is part of a bigger system. What’s more, every higher-dimensional system is more and more elegant, orderly, and peaceful; as well as completely including the lower dimensions within it.” Thinks the Unicorn gazing into the distant galaxies through spiritual sight.

The Super-Soul is now completely in synch with Divine Intelligence, and its every thought, word and action are rituals harmonized and empowered with the word of God (The Logos), and perfectly executed to benefit all beings. Gazing down earthward, the super-soul has no concern for the strife and turmoil going on in the Earth-plane. At one time the soul mistook itself for its psycho-physical suit (Mind and Body). Now the soul is the Cosmic Potter as well as the Clay Chalice itself – following Divine Will, and crafting that which is ideas of the cosmic mind, into forms, and filling them with the waters of life.

The most beautiful pot has just broken. The life waters rush out and come pouring into the Primordial Ocean, which exists beyond the manifestation of Time, Space, and the Events that occur within the two. There is no fear of the pot being broken or the drops of water, returning to their source. The life waters of the soul are soon indistinguishable from the infinite cosmic water. However, upon closer examination, the soul now appears to resemble two fish. With no fear, and no desire to “be something”, the two fish swim for millennia requiring nothing that the Great Mother Ocean does not provide. Where there was just one, there is now two.
