Unfolding The Harmony of Bliss

"Our spiritual well-being must guide us to experience the original pure and blissful nature of consciousness itself. Rediscovering this simple truth within ourselves, we ignite the hidden flame of the spiritual heart, nurturing compassion, joy and peace for all.Atman is the self or soul, the deeper essence of our being as pure consciousness, uniting us with all beings. The Atman is a Divine principle and our "true self" is the Divine power behind the manifestation of all time and space. Tantra reveres the Divine presence within us, honoring our deeper nature as sacred and immortal. The Goddess Shakti leads us in our journey through the outer world to the sanctity of the spiritual heart, the Atman’s silent abode.

The mystery of
Tantra rests in the beneficence of Nature and her all-pervasive energies. Tantra’s enigmatic mysticism reveals Nature’s potent powers through its sacred knowledge or Tantric Jnana. The Tantrika’s life is a great awakening to the reality of pure consciousness, where every moment a lotus blossoms in the gentle prayer of sweet divinity without feeling misplaced in its muddy waters. Our consciousness has a gentle way of filtering the truth in our lives. Pure consciousness takes us back to the source of divinity without any worldly trappings.

My life witnessed its own metamorphoses over the years, enriching my being and enhancing my experiences. One would drift into the silence of sadhana, using yogic practices to re-enforce one’s harmony or restructure old thought patterns, at times withdrawing into my own world of magic and wander in the Himalayas. With the Mother Goddess’s grace, my entire being sought reformation, turning the mind and body into a flower of delight, exuding its own inner fragrance. Through my experimental modes of Shakti sadhana, the Goddess integrated me back into the source of her own joyousness. My life became an offering at her lotus feet, unfolding her mystical flowering of grace and abundance."

Happiness and Positive Thinking

Quotes from Paramahansa Yogananda:

"You have the power to hurt yourself or benefit yourself. If you do not choose to be happy, no one else can make you happy. Do not blame God for that! And if we are happy, no one can make us unhappy....it is we who make life what it is."

"Do not make unhappiness a chronic habit, thereby affecting yourself and your associates. It is blessedness for yourself and others if you are happy.
If you possess happiness, you possess everything; to be happy is to be in tune with God. That power of happiness comes through Meditation."

Quote from Shiva Baba

"So karma is not just a metaphysical philosophy. It is real. Whatever you think becomes a reality in the invisible space-time complex of your soul and then this manifests in life after an appropriate lapse of time. That's why it is very, very important to be positive. We should have only positive thoughts. If there are negativ thoughts, we do not know what danger they may inflict upon us in this life and in the life to come, because the thought process is what creates karma.

How You Can Talk With God

"Though God hears all our prayers He does not always respond. Our situation is like that of a child who calls for his mother, but the mother does not think it necessary to come. She sends him a plaything to keep him quiet. But, when the child refuses to be comforted by anything except the mother's presence, she comes. If you want to know God, you must be like a naughty baby who cries till mother comes."

Bhuvaneshwari's Yantra

The Blind Master and his Disciple

Once upon a time, a young man decides to leave the comforts of his life in search of a higher truth. For years he had heard legends of a Blind Hermit Monk who lives high up in a mountain cave and had answers to all of life's questions.

After leaving a note for his family, the boy heads East in search of the Master. He passes through jungles overrun by Tigers, vast deserts with no water, and barely escapes a tribe of cannibal witches before arriving at the mountain where the Blind Master spends day and night in meditation.

After searching for days, the young man finally finds the cave that the Blind Master calls home. The boy walks in and quickly drops to ground placing his forehead on the feet of the Master - "I offer you my body, my speech, my mind. Please show me the way to Liberation."

The old master jumped to his feet with the agility and dexterity of a young boy and quickly proclaimed, "At last. After 200 years, I have been preserving the teachings of my lineage and now I have found a beneficiary! Quickly let us go. We will begin right away. The only rule is you are not to ask any questions. OK, lets go.”

The young man was so excited that he was accepted so easily, he agreed to the no question policy. And, down the mountain they walked - Blind Master in front leading the way. At the bottom of the mountain there was a group of young kids looking for trouble. They started mocking the old monk, which only made him laugh. They started throwing small rocks at him, but still he kept laughing. Finally the boldest of the kids blocked the Old Monk’s path and spit on him.

The monk, still laughing, says to the boy, "You surely must have a reason for creating negative action that will only come back to harm you. I am not your parent, so I have no reason to stop you from creating this karma, unless you ask me to."

The boys face turned red with anger at the wise words of the Monk. Before the boy can even cock his fist back to throw a punch, the Blind Monk had already swept the boys legs with his stick. As the boy was falling to ground, like a flash of lighting the Monk's right foot was impaled into the young boy’s groin. For a moment, it seemed to the on looking Disciple that the Monk’s foot was keeping this pre-pubescent boy in mid-air. "How cruel a punishment to such a young boy", the disciple thought, but restrained from asking questions. The boy dropped to the ground like brick. The Blind Master instructed the disciple to move on.

Evening came, and the Blind man led the Disciple to a very isolated house, far from the nearest town. "Perhaps we can spend the night here", said the Monk. They entered the house and were greeted by 2 young and very attractive women. Looking at the Master, the disciple thought, "Wow, for a blind man, he sure is interested in these women."

They are each given a room. The Master says to the Student, "Desire is poison that is also addictive. Even though it is slowly and painfully killing us, the more we try and quench it, the more we crave. Remember that and do not be tempted by the women here. This is good practice for you. Good night, kid."

The Disciple was lying in bed, unable to sleep, and wondering why this so called Great Master is staying in a brothel. He hears a faint sound coming through the wall. It was the sound of a bed shaking. The Young Man could not resist, he tiptoed to the next room where his master was staying and peered through a crack in the door. To his bewilderment, he saw his Blind Old Master fornicating with a young woman. Even more surprising was that two other women were on the same bed watching this bizarre act. Disgusted and losing faith in his teacher the boy return to his room and falls asleep.

The Disciple woke up to the poking of the Masters stick in his side. It was hours before dawn. The Young man thought, "How is this Old Man up so early after spending the night with 3 women!?"  He was beginning to think that enlightenment was not for him. He became nostalgic thinking of his Mother's cooking, the daily bickering with his brother, and all the young ladies of his hometown eager to be his wife. The Disciple decided to stick around this crazy old man for just one more day.

"A great Sage is in need of help. We must go there immediately!” said the Master.

They arrive at the house of the Great Scholar and Sage. The Master opens up his sachet and starts pulling out containers of various herbs, resins, strange colored rocks, and a mortar and pistol. He instructs the Disciple to mix certain herbs to cure the Sage of his affliction. "Be very very careful. If you mix any of these in the wrong proportion, the results will be devastating."

Nervously, the Young Man mixes the medicine according the Master's directions. The Master commands the Disciple to feed the medicine to the dying sage, and the young man complies. The boy was nervous, but confident as he had followed the Wise Master's guidance.

Suddenly the Sage's face turns bright red. He lets out a terrible scream that paralyzes the Young Man. The Sage stands up, starts running around in circles, and then finally collapses on the floor with a loud thud. Before the disciple could think, "Is he dead?" the Master said, "He's Dead!"

The Disciple felt every negative emotion at once - Anger, Guilt, Hatred, Fear. He asks the Master for an explanation and the Master said, "I told you no questions! Now go to sleep. We have a busy day tomorrow."

"But, but..."

"Don't make me beat you with my stick. Go to bed!"

The whole night the Young Man was preparing to leave the Master and return to his old life. He never realized how good he had it, and now he is ready to put aside his childhood dreams of becoming a Man of Wisdom, and follow the path that everyone else in his hometown follows.

The next morning the Master did not say a word to the Disciple. They arrived at a lake. The Master told the Disciple to take off his clothes and bathe in the lake. The Disciple was planning on parting ways once the Master spoke, so he says; “I’ve had it with this. I’ve had it with you. You’re not a Master. I’m leaving.”

The Master replied, “You killed someone last night. You must bath in the water to purify or else you will be haunted by that man’s spirit.”

The Young Man was furious. “I didn’t kill him. I was just following orders!” he thought. But, for some reason, he took off his clothes and descended into the lake.

The Young Man did not feel purified in the lake. In fact he felt anger, hatred and frustration so deep inside of him that he never even knew existed until now. “I’m not a murderer!”, he kept telling himself.

In a fit of anger, the boy darts out of the lake, and runs right to the Blind Man, without even noticing that his clothes were not where he left them. The Master was meditating peacefully when the Naked Maniac came running towards him.

“I need to know right now. Why did you kick that boy so hard? Because he insulted you! Couldn’t you just have just tripped him? Why did you kick him so hard? He might never have children now!”

The Master Responded, “I did not kick the boy in his “Precious Jewels”. My foot went to his perineum. That boy was causing much suffering on his parents and siblings. He would have grown up to be a tyrant. He would become a general in the Army and kill entire villages and rape their women. Now he will be in pain and walk funny for about a month. During that time he will hear the Buddha’s Dharma from a layman, and upon hearing it will instantly attain the First Stage of Enlightenment. He will take up the teachings, live a moral and religious life, and take on two main disciples who will spread the Buddha’s message of Wisdom and Loving-Kindness to the Four Directions of Space and Three Directions of Time.”

Surprised, but not satisfied with the Old Man, the Young Man then asks, “Well what about those whores? I saw you that night with three women and you claim to practice Sexual Control!”

The Master Replies, “The woman I was in union with is my wife. The other two women are my disciples. I was demonstrating to them the Secret Technique called “The Mixing of the Essences” which causes the Immortal Nectar to begin to flow into the Body and Mind.

Now tears started flowing from the young boy’s eyes. “Well, how about the Great Sage that you had me torture and kill?”

The Old Master giggled and said, “That Sage was my brother. He reached the 4th and highest stage of enlightenment and was ready to enter into Nirvana and non-physical existence, but there was one thing left unresolved. When we were younger, he blamed me for something he did, and it caused so much trouble to not just me, but my entire family. He apologized to me, and I accepted, but he never was able to shed the guilt for the harm he caused his younger brother. He was about to die anyway, the medicine you gave him allowed him to fully rid himself of any remaining attachment to this World of Suffering. Now he is a fully enlightened Buddha emanating Compassionate Bliss Waves to the entire universe.

Now the Young Man was relieved. He was not a murderer, but in fact facilitated a Buddha into reaching the highest stage of Nirvana. He took a deep breath and let out a sigh of relief.

The Master started giggling. The Young Man became confused. The giggling grew louder and louder with more intensity. He thought the Great Master was about to collapse and asked, “Is everything OK?”

The Master, unable to speak words due to the laughter bubbling out of him, managed to point his fingers to behind the Young Man.

Fearing what he might see, the Naked Young Man, wipes away his tears and snot, and turns around to see what The Master was so amused by. Standing behind him, during his entire dramatic outburst were the two “whores” from the house they stayed at. Trying to hold back their own laugher they hand the Boy back his clothes.

“Come on” said the Master, “Two bird’s tied together have four wings, but cannot fly.”

Not knowing what that meant, or what else was in store for him The Young Disciple journeyed on behind the Blind Master.
